A significant milestone in the infrastructure development of K. Gulhifalhu was marked today with the signing ceremony for the "Development of Roads and Municipal Infrastructure" project. The event was attended by His Excellency, President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu, highlighting the importance of the initiative.

The agreement was signed by Dr. Abdulla Muththalib, Minister of Construction, Housing and Infrastructure, and Mr. Qian Haojun, General Manager of the China Machinery Engineering Corporation (CMEC). This partnership reflects a strong commitment to advancing urban development in the Maldives.

This project stems from President Muizzu's State Visit to the People's Republic of China in January 2024, where the groundwork for the initiative was laid. The focus is on installing essential infrastructure to support future settlements and foster sustainable community growth in K. Gulhifalhu.

This development marks a new chapter in the Maldives’ efforts to create sustainable and resilient urban spaces.
